Personal background
I'm 43 and in a nursing home for long term rehab after being in a real bad accident that left me unable to walk are to read spell are do math. I'm slowly getting every thing back. I have to learn how to read wright all over again. So if my spelling is bad that is why. They got me the computer to help me with my spelling and to give me something to do. I was a truck driver before this nightmare began. Now I'm trying to learn as much about all this computer stuff as I can. I don't have any family but my brother so I get real board being in here. I spend most of my time on line now. I really like it a lot. It has been a year since my accident. And I have came a long way. I have always loved just to set and look at the stars. When I found out about this site I was happy very happy to find it. I love this stuff. I know in my heart that we are not alone we can't be. There is just to much up there. I wish and dream all the time of having a telescope. I don't know if I will ever get one are not but I would love to have one. I have nothing but time on my hands now so I think this will help keep me busy and just might help you all. I'm not sure how it all works but I'm going to learn as much as I can. That is a promise. And for now every night I will still go out side and sit and watch the stars.
Boy I hope you all can read this. I was shy at first no wanting to do this because I can't spell all that good but I'm not going to let it win. 1 year ago I could not even type so I'm doing something right. Will I guess that is all I have for now. If you need any thing please let me know. I have nothing but time on my hands. nrmstok@earthlink.net
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I sit almost every night and look up at the stars wondering about so many things because I know there is no way we are alone there is just no way.
My views about the project are I think it is awesome. And we need to do this. And I'm glad you all came up with this. And it gives me something to do. I hope to have a telescope some day. But till then I can help like This. I'm new at this and plan to learn as much as I can. And if you need help with any thing just let me know. I sure you all have it under control. But thanks again for giving me something to do.
