Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
As a contributing member to SETI@home from the "early" days and one of the contributers to the last SETI@home fundrasing round malariacontrol.net seemed to be a good new pet project for something that matters. They are both running on my gamer PC and I wish BOINC was better to run in the background only when I'm not gaming like X-fire isn't downloading patchs when I'm playing a online game (or atleast had better settings to indicate that such feature was turned on). This might have something to do with reconising the games at which point I must urge the BOINC team to contact X-fire.... I'm sure they would love to support this type of true gameing attiude towards helping people and it sure would help seti and other BOINC projects.
As a note on this SETI acount I have another with the a hotmail.com acount which is the one with my old contributions.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
