Live long and prosper
I am just an old fart from Georgia. I am 60 years old going on 102. I am retired and on disability. My favorite TV channel is the sci-fi channel.For most of my working life I was an x-ray tech.
As you can see by my first post in Seti cafe I tend to jump in without reading directions. LOL Before the age of 50 I had never operated a computer in my life. I was running Seti on my first computer but it was so small I could only run Windows 95 and it took me a week or two to crunch one work unit. I rebuilt that one myself turning it into an AMD550 with a 3GB hard drive.
As you can see by my computer stats I have upgraded quite a bit. (I did not build this one). I never did get back to Seti until 7-03-06. (I crunch a little faster now)and I tend to get a little long winded so....

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
*I run SETI@home because I always did believe and/or hope in the existence of extraterestrial life. I am an optimist and believe our first contact will be peacefull and very benificial.
*The SETI project will one day be our means of initiating first contact. So as you can see I feel the project is very important.
*My only suggestion has been stated before. The SETI project needs more national and international publicity so we can get enough computers working on this to get it done. AND FIND ET, so he can call home.
