I'm 36, work in an Opticians as a glazier and am married to my longer-time friend with 2 lovely children... we currently live in Wales in the UK.
My main hobby is Astronomy (both observing/imaging and in all the fringe aspects that go with it) but I'm also very interested in current research in a wide range of modern physics areas, although I am especially interested in both cosmology and particle physics. Maybe seeing my then-to-become-hero Carl Sagans 'Cosmos' series when I was about 9 steered my path some ;)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. and 2. To be a part of what I think is one of the most important quests humanity has ever embarked upon.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
