Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because none of the screensavers I had were as cool as this one. Also, I figure that when I'm not using my computer, somebody else can.

My views on the project are that there probably is no other intelligent life in the universe besides us. I think we are unique. We are God's creation and He put us here for a reason. He may have created others in another part of the universe, if He did, they probably look a lot like us (being created in God's image). Of course, the old argument is that if we're alone in the universe, that's a lot of wasted space. I don't think it's wasted if there's no other life out there, there's countless untapped resources waiting for us in the heavens, should we ever be able to travel to the stars. That is why God created the heavens, to give us something to dream about, something to inspire our imagination and give us hope for the future. We should cherish this gift and strive to explore its wonders to the best of our ability.
