Personal background
Well, for starters i currently Live in Canada and my Name is John Roy.. I'd rather not disclose in detail where i live. I am also very into Japanese Anime. I currently am into Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, Hellsing, Dragon Ball Z and Samurai Champloo. Don't ask me why i like them, i just do. But if you must ask, i'd have to tell you that i really like seeing the fighting animation. More or less, Anime characters Powering up and beating eachother senseless, it's awsome and funny at the same time. I also run a Multi-Anime site called Dragon-Assault.com and am currently trying to recruite fans into installing and Running SETI@Home. I really do think it is a worthwhile project, just to prove that there is some other form of life out there.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have always had a strange attraction to science and outer space, i really don't know why. But i really do think that there is something out there, another form of life, somewhere. It would be completely ignorant of us to beleive that upon the billions of stars and planets in our galaxy and upon all the other stars and planets in the other galaxys, that we are the only form of intelligent life. Perhaps not as intelligent as some of our famous hollywood movies would like to portrey, but something like that and i would like to do anything i can to assist in the detection of said lifeforms. I really can't suggest anything either, i really like the way the software works and i truly enjoy the graphical interface. The project is very worthwhile, as i said. That is why i will try to recruite as many people as possible and have them install and run SETI@Home.
