Personal background
Hi There,

My names Ian, I live in hertfordshire and am a logistics systems specialist.

When not using spare old drone PC\\'s for crunching I play paintball for London HPG (check out www.teamhalloween.co.uk). Also see picture of me wearing my finest gameface at a Natwest League event last year.

Fairly new to crunching, hoping to convince the MD that having boinc running on our servers is a valid use of the companies resource, until then no idle pc in my power is safe! :D 8-)

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

Started running seti@home to test the stability of an old dual CPU PC, then thought it was an interesting thing to do with the spare computing power I had lying around. Have added a few other projects to some of my pc's at home, but rarely able to let them run for any time.

Luckily have several old pc's at work just for running auto reporting, label printing services, etc. so have added boinc and seti to those. They are on 24/7 so thought they may aswell be doing someting!

Probably never going to make a world breaking scientific discovery on my own, but like the idea of contributing to something larger than just my own aims.
