Micah is the name, started with seti in my teens and fell off the circuit until recently.
Now im 35yrs old, have 2 girls, work as a Communications and Battery Specialist, I’m also an amatuer radio operator with plans in place to build a radio observatory.
I get involved in iot projects and maintain 8 radio repeaters for amatuer & family use in 4 FL counties in my spare time (when im not entertaining my girls or working our farm). |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Im involved with seti because statistically there must be intelligent life elsewhere and when contact is made, it will be a seti@home contributer that first detects it. I also support the concept of using shared computers all over the world to process extreme amounts of data. I believe it takes us to the next level of intelligence technologically and as a society. Plus the graphics look really cool and give you a sense of completion.
A tip of the hat to the scholars at Berkeley for thinking this up AND putting it in motion. It is an amazing achievement that will benefit human life likely forever. |
