Personal background
Well.. I'm Peter, born 1980 and I'm from sweden.
Long time ago (1999 I think), I heard of S.E.T.I. and that they use computers from ordinary internet users to analyse data from "space". I thought that it was a cool and smart idea but forgot to do anything about it. Last week I found this site when surfing and thought "why not?". Since my computer is online 24h/day, every day, and I'm working almost every day, I could have S.E.T.I. running when I'm at work. Why not use that computer power for a good reason..? :)
So here I am...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Cool idea, to use "unused" computer power from online internet users for analysing the data. Everybody should do it. Many people have their computers online always without using them. That's a lot of free computer power. :)
