Profile: Anthony Baltiero

Personal background
Hello, My name is Anthony Baltiero. Friends and Family know me as Tony. I currently am a student studying Astrophysics and Astronomy at DBCC and The University of Central Florida. I have a strong passion for science and space. Inspired immensely by the life and works of Dr. Carl Sagan, I decided to dedicate my future life and career to science.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run and support SETI@home because it is of monumental importance to science and the basic understanding of life in the cosmos. Even with sheer mathematics the idea of life on another planet or moon somewhere in the cosmos IS possible. With our efforts we are narrowing down the possiblities of where to search for this life. It has been and will be a long and even painstaking process. The final goal however, will be the greatest accomplishment and scientific discovery of our existence. My only suggestion to SETI is to keep coming up with ways for mass amounts of humans to participate in. The whole search for ET intelligence is based on sheer numbers. The more people we get involved in the search, the greater the chance of making a discovery. Thank you so much for giving the people this oppurtunity to help in this prodigious undertaking.
