Personal background
Hi! I'm a students of Environmental Science in Milano Bicocca.
I work part-time as a sys admin in a web solutions company.
I'm 24, my hobbies are music (I play the bass guitar), some travels (when
I have enough money ;-) ) and computer tech, of course, expecially
in networking and computing. But all my hobbies are "subdued" to my work&studies.
I live in Sedriano, a small town near Milano in the north of Italy.
For ham-radio , my locator is JN45LL . Of course I'm also a ham, my id
is Iw2Naw . But I've very little time to use my rig ;-( .
That's all.
I've also made a banner for seti@home, look at it in the banner area.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. yes, of course ,-) . I don't konow, but not early (even if I'd like to),
because the outer space is too big to have an answer is such litte time (i.e. from
the start of seti@home project). Benefits? All. Dangers? Humanity fears.
2. Yes, of course. Something that's simple and powerful. Only a "bip", that's like CW,
in order to gain the maximum distance we can.
3. It's interesting for distributed computing. Because our cpus are not
used a lot ;-), because is romantic.
I think is a great project, but it must change, i.e. evolve to new technologies
and new investigation methods. And of course it must be undertaken by all countries
in the world, or ,at least,as much as possible.
IMHO, better pay for this tech, than for war tech, don't u think?
