Personal background
I am a web-graphic designer living in Italy, in the city of the Leaning Tower despite I have lived for long time in Sweden and USA in Los Angeles. I spend most of my day with my computers and thank to on line communication sofware as ICQ I have built a web designing company ranging now in four countries. I live off the main stream: I live a lot with computers for the most of my day and with them I make all: design, study, talk with my programmers around the world. I am a rock climber, swimmer and adore in line skating so actually not all my life is behind a desk and my life is rich of country life and sporting activity that keep my body on shape and compensate from staying so much time in front of a 24 inches monitor. I speak six languages and I am 34 years old. I also am a writer and photographer and my work that I love takes so much time that I do not have time to search for a girlfriend: so if any of you knows a pretty, great hearted, good looking and also a bit old fashioned woman able to share my personality which is so unpredictable and artistically unstable let me know!!! I have one great friend, Shirley, a mouse, that now is walking here over the keyboard. I work with both my right and left hand to design and also use a graphic table and two trackballs on my desk. So often while eating with the fork I feel strange because my fingers search for a button to click on the fork but I find none. Now I go back to work, I have to design and it is night here, as often happens, I work by night and sleep by day. Hugs and BItes to all of you.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestrial life I think it is existing yes, but very very different from the human race. It will be discovered in the next 100 years, with the advancement of technology that will allow us to rely on what we do not have today. Benefits and danger?? That will make us understand we are not the only ones here and such discovery might induce us to think we live on earth as guests and not as owners and we could behave better as to respecting nature and wildlife. Information we could send would include our will to be peaceful but it does not seem the human race is enough mature to face the meeting of another life out of earth: we have before to learn to live better at home putting aside a lot of our false beliefs and bring up again real values of life, then we will be ready to explore for other lives. Running SETI@home allows me to give you some of my specially engineered computer resources and makes me feel I am giving part of my time and resources to other ones and affords my heart great peacefulness and human friendship feelings. From my point of view you should design your site in a bit better way, I am a designer if you need help I can offer for free my advice to you.
