Personal background
I'm Dave or Davey, I'm 32 and I'm from the North-East of England, my occupation is changeable as my main focus is playing and recording music but at the moment I'm doing customer service, my job just pays the rent.

Music is the main deal in my life but my other interests are reading books about the universe, be that cutting edge science stuff (which often seem beyond me but I enjoy them regardless) sci-fi/fatasy, and various biography's,poetry, thrillers.
I also love film, all kinds but I do have a particular penchant for sci-fi movies and I collect dvd's of them, even rubbish ones.

I'm also a huge Star Trek fan, mainly T.N.G though I'm not officially a Trekkie.

I love having the opportunity to be part of SETI@home and would welcome any conversation and discussion with other users.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because I think it's great that a normal person like me can have the opportunity, albeit a slight one, to contribute to something I consider extremely important and significant.

Of course being the person who's computer is the one that get's THE signal would be beyond incredible but I'm not holding out for that. I just like being a part of this.

My only suggestion for SETI@home is that we can maybe get a newsletter now and again or any info on what our results may or may not be showing.
