I was born in small town, Weymouth, on the south coast of england in 1974. I have now become the person I have fought so hard to be; myself. Through lifes trials I have learned that only by sheer determination and hard work against the odds, can we ever acheive our goals in life. Space is the same - with a lot of dedicated people who will not accept the outdated idea that we are alone, we WILL make contact. I would love that turning point in our colourful history to be in my lifetime.
I have always been facinated by space, and it's possibilities for mankind. to quote Charlton Heston;
"There has to be something better than man, has to be..."
I wonder what the impact of 1st contact will be on religion, governments and society as a whole. religion has always been necessary for balance, without it we would have exterminated ourselves long ago. strange that such fanatical groups can give people beliefs to live by, and yet still have such a negative impact on the remaining populous.

I love the SETI project. I firmly believe we are not alone. I do not go for the UFO bunch opinion that we are regularly visited. why travel all that way, at such an expense if not to contact who or what you find? would we?
There are so many wonderful mysteries in space - I cannot wait to fly by jupiter on a day trip someday. or play zero-G basketball on the moon. It would aid my golf immensley....
Being a part of the SETI project is so great for me, it makes me seem accepted by inteligent people (so many closed minded people think i am an abomination). I am just trying to be me. I hope we treat any alien species with the same openness and willingness to accept them, however many tentacles they have and whatever colour their organs may be...
Perhaps our future will be Gene's legacy, Live long & Prosper... |
