Personal background
Hey, I'm Dan. I used to have Seti@home a long time ago in a galaxy far far away...then I had to reformat and I forgot to add it again. I live in B.C., Canada. I play the bass, fantasy RPGs, videogames, I also dirtbike and rock out; I'm an all around cool-loser hybrid.
I probably won't ever check the forums, or message boards, so if for some insane reason you need to contact me, drop an email at dan_tiedeman@hotmail.com. But I swear to Jebus, if you send me horse porn, I'll make it my personal mission to give you an STD.

Take care and rock on.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I run Seti@home because I truly believe that there's something out there to be found. I pretty much waste my time on the internet anyhow, so I figure someone should get some use out of my computer. Plus I get a sense of pride knowing that my computer is aiding in the advancement of our exploration of the universe. Knowledge is king.

2. I thinks it's radical that in this day in age, there are members of society dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge. Furthermore I believe that projects such as Seti are critically important to our globalized culture. 99% of the land mass of the earth has been discovered, we have to go some direction, and if it's not down into the depths, then it should be up into the sky.

3. I'm not one of those how you'd say "Advanced thinkers", I'm completely content letting other people do the hard thinking. So, I've got no important suggestions as to how to improve Seti. I can say that there's a lot of sky to search, however quality over quantity should be observed. We have until our eventual destruction to search, so why not make it detailed.
