Personal background
I live in sunny Palm Springs, California. I am old enough to know better and young enough not to care :) I am learning to play drums which I guess would be my current hobby. I wait tables at a restaurant here in the valley. No, I am not doing that while waiting to be discovered as an actor.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI because I assume in an infinite universe there must be some form of intelligent life out there somewhere. I also use it as a benchmark to test my computer everytime I get (or build) a new one. I was in Puerto Rico last fall but was only there a couple of days and those happened to be the days that Arecibo was closed - bummer. Hopefully, the project will find ET and with any luck he will be friendly. My only suggestion is in regard to this new BOINC stuff. It was nearly impossible to get it up and running and from my venture to the message boards a lot of people are frustrated with it. There needs to be step by step instructions with pictures and explanation. Ex: nowhere does it say that when you go to computers you just leave it blank and click okay. Anyway, that is all I have to say about SETI here.
