Profile: Erik-SVPL

Personal background
Name : Erik.
Profession : electrician.
Hobbies : Synthesizers, PC's, drawing, plastic and paper modeling (space vehicles, architecture, formula 1 cars ), electronics, motor bikes.
My club : the Public Observatory Philippus Lansbergen.
What am I doing there : I design and build paper models for the club. Rockets and satellites.
Born in 1966 but refuses to grow old, even though some grey hairs are showing....
Dreams : ooooh.....sooo many.......
SETI units completed so far : 600 exactly ! ;-) Took me 2 years.....
Why participate ? : I don't know. Useless, because distances are far too big. Even at lightspeed travel times are ridiculously long, even for ET......
Unless there are worm holes and they have found a way to use them. If you know a shortcut you don't need to go faster than the speed of light. So, should we get a signal.....then .....what ???
Why participate ? : It's a nice screensaver ! ;-)

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. See personal notes. What if.....? Think about first contact.... A close encounter of the first kind. Then second...third.....
The really big question is : Are WE ready for THEM ????

2. Great ! Glad to participate !

3. None, so far.
