Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Why do you run SETI@home?
Anything that I can do to help in the search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, no matter how small, I will.

2. What are your views about the project?
My views about the project are all positive. I believe that the discovery of life elsewhere in the universe will be the single most important discovery in the history of mankind. It will have a profound effect on the way we view ourselves and others. Like it or not, it will also have a profound effect on the religions of the world. Some people will have a hard time accepting it as the truth.

3. Any suggestions?
Well, I'm not sure that I am qualified to give suggestions to SETI, but here goes. The scanning of radio frequencies to discover an extraterrestrial signal definately has it's possibillities. I'm afraid though that it may require an entirely new approach other than scanning RF. Life elsewhere may be based on another element other than carbon. If so, E.T. may have evolved in a completely different manner than us and may have an entirely different evolution of technology. Although they may be far more advanced than us, even a simple primitive single-crystal AM radio receiver may be completely foriegn to them.
