Personal background
In case you were wondering why I'm in the LINUX Group, but only have 1 Linux System Running BOINC, it's because all the Linux systems I currently run are all doing important jobs like DNS Services, Routing or Honeypots. And all my Linux machines, except one (The one terminal I have running BOINC) are less than Pentium 4 1.4Ghz speed. In fact most of them are Dual P3 Dell Machines.

My more modern Windows Machines are superfluous (Web Surfers, Gamers, File Servers, and the like) and are not dedicated to hardcore tasks, therefore have the spare overhead to run SETI@Home and LNC@Home.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
A pioneer in the way we use Computing Power, and it's fantastic that is being used for such a purpose.

There is intelligent life out there. And if we want to prove we are worth communicating with, we need to give a coherent, intelligent response to whomever might be out there. From a 3rd person perspective, the Earth may not seem like the best place to visit or communicate with. Maybe we can offer those who would sit afar and judge us, a second opinion by hearing their signals, and replying.
