We don't know if it exists, thats why we are looking. The thing is, it is very likely to be out there somewhere, we just need to find it. If we find something out there, we don't need to do anything with it, it is just good for our soul to know :)
q2: We should send a lot of beacons, small ones, with small screws. Screws are always useful and tell a lot about us.
q3: I like to examine new things, even though I dont know what I will find in this case...
