I live in the UK and I am deeply interested in SETI@home. I currently have four computers that are devoted to SETI@home and 3 conststantly work on it. I am planning to upgrade as many computers as I can to BOINC but it is difficult because there is no OS9 version for my computers that cannot run OSX. I currently own 30 computers. But normally only five run at a time because the house trips if more are plugged in.
I have 24 macs 1 Linux machine and the rest are Windows.
I think If the goverment are not funding SETI it tells me they already have found aliens and they don't want to waste money on searching for more!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think SETI is a worthwhile project because it is essential we find intersteller intelligence so we can find out more about the universe. I am so devoted to SETI that I will not stop when the family needs the internet bandwith as I am on 26K!
I think SETI should have a compatible OS9 client so more computers can join the project!
