Hello There!! I'm a guy from holland, and live in my home town Lochem. This is in the eastern of the country... The first time a got addicted to Seti At Home, was 10 years ago i think... but I didn't have the power to finish more than 1 data unit per month.. so it took me a while to get to the first 100... But now I have a much more powerfull computer so I hope to get more than 500 data units this year.... I hope that I'm going to get more PC's to do only the work of these Data Units... Well ofcourse dous extraterrestrial life exist.. I don't know when we will discover it... but think about the next story... If I would give you a 1000 men, and bring them to a big mountain of big and small rocks.. I will pick one out of them and tell that this is the Earth.. Then I would tell those 1000 men to look for the same rock... Would you think that they would find 1 thats allmoste the same if it isnt the same. Thats then the Earth far away with allmost the same conditions... Wouldn't you think that theres life on it??? I would.... If we send a beacon for others to find, I think that it would be the string of life..... DNA that would be send... and I dont think that words would do it... I have 1 suggestion for SETI@home... Please Please make the normal Seti@home software for Windows, run more than 1 Data Unit... Its certanly possible... And make an setting in Options how many Data Units you would like to be Analised.
