Personal background
I once saw a mutilated cow in the middle of a field near the Grand Canyon in my home state of Arizona, and it convinced me that, if there is indeed life in outer space, that it is seriously interested in learning how to become a certified butcher at Bashas' Grocery Store.

I have never seen an alien but I do believe in them. I also believe in God when it is convenient, such as on airplane take-offs or during Christmas when I really want some decent gifts.

Hopefully we will all get a signal from outer space one day, telling us that we are all a bunch of jack-offs and we need to get our acts together. This is my prayer. And yes, I included the phrase "jack-offs" in a prayer.

What's it to you?

Jerk.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because I want to help find out more about alien life. If the only aliens we ever encounter in my life time are tiny spores, then I will be seriously depressed. I want a full-scale alien invasion within the next few years, with tall, dreadlocked, alien Scientologists and Alien Nation aliens with their genitalia in their backs. All that.
