Profile: Alba Project

Personal background
We are almost all young consultants, we are into ERP systems, basically training employers of various companies to migrate from older systems to ERP.

We believe there are other consultants in the universe and we are sure they are trying to contact us, or even trying to establish a connection with our respective ERP systems.

Being optimistic we dream of contacting civilizations able to provide us OS's better than ours (and hopefully a salary better than ours), so we decided to give a chance to the world's future installing the Seti@home clients on our pc's (5 Pentium4).

We are from Italy and we greet all of you, people looking for answers: who we are, where we come from and where we are going, and nothing is a better answer than proving the existence of someone with whom we could try to answer these questions.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
We think that humans don't need to send beacons..we already make enough noise, someone soon could contact us asking to lower the volume and reduce radioemissions.

Jokes apart, we believe SETI and SETI@home in particular produce what the human kind needs more: the feeling of being part of a whole thing, doing all together something for all of us. Knowing that we are part of a project with such a big ambition makes us feel less isolated, a discover of an alien civilization would let humans explore their humanity first, and discover that we are all equal, there would be more cooperation and less wars, fights, diseases and so on.

Then we would be ready to talk to them.
