| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run SETI@home because I'd like to think we aren't the only ones out there. I also like putting my computers' spare cpu cycles to good use. I run SETI on these boxes:
Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (2.4 GHz OC) Debian Linux and Windows XP Pro
PIII 800 MHz fileserver Fedora Core 4
PIII 500 MHz Ubuntu
PII 350 MHz Slackware
iBook G3 600 MHz Mac OS X
Athlon XP 1800+ Windows XP Pro
I also run SETI occasionally on these servers:

PIV 2.53 GHz Slackware game server
I run optimized binaries from lunatics.at on all my boxes that support sse2, sse, or mmx. |
