I am a Canadian, born in Peterborough Ontario August 1937.
I married in 1964 and have two children, a girl an boy now grown with families of their own. Our girl lives in Winnipeg Manitoba, our son is in Courtenay British Columbia.
I have been a ham operator since 1960. Call Signs have been VE3DOI, VE2ACU and now VE6CGQ here in Calgary Alberta.
I worked for a number of Telephone Companies, from 1956 to 1983, Bell Canada, Telephone Du Nord de Quebec, Northern Telephone Co., and Alberta Government Telephones, later to be called Telus Corp.
I have been and am a musician, drummer and percussionist, played in Canada and the USA, recorded with my 4 piece group, The Count Victors, with Barry and Coral records.
I still play, as volunteer work at senior citizens homes and the Legion. For the most part we play 'swing' from the 40's and 50's.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I looked at many screen savers and found that only SETI would use my computer's capabilities for useful work.
I believe SETI@home to be a worthwhile project. We may or maybe never see a positive result from this quest, but if the attempt is not made, we will never know if there is intelligent life out there somewhere. |
