| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. - Why?Because I´m curious.Since my pc is running almost 24/7,this version of BOINC and SETI@Home does not harm my pc perfomance in my normal use,I have no problem in helping out.
2. - Well...wildgoose chase,but with hope of really chasing something,curiosity,will to help...the usual.
But...it would be an enormous waste of space if we had no neighbours around .I believe in life outside our earthly boudaries,not in religion.
3. - I really liked a plugin for the SETI@Home Version 3.08 March 2003 made for the "Starrynight" program that shows the portion of the sky that SETI was exploring on my PC.That was really cool.I havent´t find any similar for this version of both SETI@Home or Starry night.So I thinks that this could be a suggestion |
