Profile: Jon Agnew

Personal background
I'm Jon. I'm a 17-year-old electronics engineering student from Jacksonville, Florida. I'm involved with Amateur Radio and homemade radio equipment. My computer is a Pentium 4 with 1GB of RAM, plenty enough for number-crunching. I'm currently working on an idea for a modified Beowulf cluster to run BOINC, though I'm sure it's already been done before...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@Home because, of all of the distributed computing projects that I could be putting my processor time to, SETI has the most possibility for a definite result. I believe very strongly that the probability for intelligent life elsewhere in the universe is high. I'm very impressed with the data gathering procedures in regard to fundamental frequency, and with the data processing system altogether. Though I can't think of any immediate suggestions, I'll post them here if I do.
