Personal background |
Larry Garland is a poet, a newspaper columnist and a freelance writer who has lived in Brooklyn just since Thanksgiving of 2004. He has published poetry and short stories and has been a columnist for newspapers and magazines. His experience runs from feature writing and brochure/newsletter design to highly technical financial editing for leading New York City-based international companies. If you already know Larry, or if you’ve ever heard him speak, you know he’s a genuine Southerner. However, Larry stresses that one should not confuse genuine with typical. “Average is for temperature, not temperament,†says Larry. Still, he is typical in one way: He’s following a long tradition of Southern writers and poets who have been drawn to New York City, the literary capital of the world.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
"And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold...." (John, 10;16) I choose to interpret that Biblical (New Testament) verse quite broadly. |
