Profile: Sir Antony Magnus

Personal background
About me eh? My schooling was in a little town nobody has probably heard of, my employment was varied. For the longest time I worked for a medical department building and repairing medical equipment until my unfortunate disabilities got the better of me. Used to love to game, read, work out, hike, bike, computers (of course), movies, music, comedies (ya love that!), cars, football and motorcycles. Some of that I still do when I can. My age is ancient, my true age does not match the way I feel. ha My Christian given name is actually Anthony, I just like Antony better. I dunno, cause I do and it's shorter so there!

What got me interested in space as a youngster was NASA, Carl Sagan, Star Trek, Star Wars, and Lost In Space. Still recall when I seen Star Wars A New Hope in theater for the first time and seeing that scene in space with the Death Star! I was amazed and blown away, loved it ever since. Hats off to Lucas and others for setting my mind on fire!!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have ran and run SETI@Home due to believing that the universe is much too vast for us to be the only beings in it, and if contributing computer time and perhaps some gold from time to time lets me be a part if it then it is well worth it. I was excited about the project the first day I joined and have never wavered in my enthusiasm for it. ( Although my disabilities make my digital life brief)! The project I believe is a worthwhile investment, although in my opinion I think most aliens communicate in perhaps vastly different ways than we do. It stands to reason, and this is purely hypothetical, that an advanced species would develop telepathic abilities, and also perhaps visually communicate. My suggestion for the project is keep the splitters splitting and keep the work units flowing, the next WOW moment may be around the corner? And thank you SETI@Home for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of this project in some small ways!
