Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
While I do sincerely hope mankind discovers tangible evidence of extra-terrestrial life I primarily dedicate my computer when I do not require it because I detest the waste of resources, resources that can greatly benefit someone else with no loss to myself. It should not be enforced but more people should be made aware of BOINC projects. I'm sure scientific and similar research would accelerate tremendously if nearly everyone donated their computer's resources when they do not need it.
