Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home just on the off chance that it may yield results. I was first drawn to the idea some time ago when surfing for screensavers and thought at least I could have one that was actually doing something useful rather than visually pleasing.

I do not believe we are alone in the Universe - it's way too big and we're way too small to even consider that it's all here for our benefit, sole-use, etc. Although, due to the size involved, and the apparent 'uniqueness' of our 'kind of life' existing, I'm not going to hold my breath.

The only suggestion I have is to KEEP ON TRYING! - these are just the first steps into a wider realm of possibilities and exploration which someday will set us on the path beyond Earth, Our Solar System & maybe, even Our Galaxy!!!

I know all this seems to be a bit heavy on idealism & (mayhap) alturism, and I make no apologies for that, I am a dreamer and believe we may mature enough as a species to someday take ourselves to the Stars...
