| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run SETI@home because I hate to have my PC just sitting there doing nothing for ages, and since I'm into astronomy, well, it just makes sense don't it?
Although I believe that there must be life "out there", I doubt we will make contact or find any(thing/one?)soon, the distances are just to great.
We've only been transmitting radio waves for circa 100 years, and we've come close to "ending transmissions" during the Cold War. "Others" may not have been so lucky.
Still, a pessimist can never be disappointed, only pleasantly surprised, so, here's hoping! |
