Currently working on a 'rocket' program with able and talented students to get them interested in space and the science behind it. Hoping to build and launch a 2 stage 1/72 scale model of the Saturn 5 in summer of this year with the students.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run S.E.T.I. ?
It's a big universe out there and if we are unique and on our own, I would find it difficult to comprehend. This planet is no accident or freak of nature.

My views on the project?

Been a member since 1997 and I very much hope that the funding will continue to come in. It's not just the search for ET, it's the science and the interest which has come from the project that is giving students young and old a chance to look at science in an interesting and thoughtfull way. One of the main things to come out of the project has been the software development for other research such as the distributed network used for cancer reasearch and genenome.
Anyway I've been very interested in space and space exploration since I sat on the settee in 1969, curled up with a blanket and pillow watching Niel Armstrong take those first steps on the moon. Something I will remember for the rest of my life!
