my name is Ed and I am unfortunately a very generalist person (that prevents me from being "good" at something...); from music to electronics, cycling, climbing, building igloos, telemarking, doing construction work around my house, designing new gloves, ... I like everything! |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

My computer stays opened sometimes forever, so why not make it useful to something? Even if I don't have an absolute belief in extra-terrestrial life, I do strongly admit that there is a possibility. I also believe that, if they exist, they ought to taste maple syrup and listen to Vivaldi's music. So we have to find them if they exist, get their adress before we send some CDs and maple syrup.
Seriously, there is obviously someone out there. Our ways of communicating may not be sufficient, but we have to start from somewhere. Also, just knowing and telling all the people about this possibility could bring some peace to this world. If we stop looking only to the tip of our nose and start looking a bit further, it will help to build a better future. |
