Personal background |
Ian from Alberton, a suburb of Adelaide in South Australia. I am an avid reader of science fiction and astronomy news (as well as many other areas). The search for extra-terrestrial intelligence intrigues me, and I'm here to play a small part in trying to find it. I've recently enrolled to study at UNE, so have joined the team there.
Have set this up on behalf of my family, but I'm the main one with the interest:
"So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,
How amazingly unlikely is your birth,
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space,
'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth."
When I'm feeling cynical this seems more apt each day! However I continue to be optimistic that reason will eventually prevail.
