Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Well running seti@home wasn\\'t a question if I would run it or not, as soon as I heard about a project that could use my CPU while I get distracted watching TV, I knew it was the program for free. I hate to see a 2000 machine go to waste if I am not using it. I believe that perhaps we arn\\'t alone in the universe, There is only a few explations I can come with.

1. The universe is still young, so perhaps we are amoung the first planets to have life
2. Traveling faster than the speed of light hasn\\'t happend for any species because a) impossible b) possible but not quite there yet so we won\\'t be hearing from them for while.
3. Possible and there watching us now or not watching but are aware of us

Remember any intelligent species once reached faster than the speed of light I would imagine would send probs everywhere continusly perhaps they know where they are or perhaps they are just so far away it\\'s not even worth there time to travel around here(hard to imagine).

So I think the project could be a hopeless because the universe is still young but it doesn\\'t stop me from hopeing 1 day a signal will come through.
