I am from Dallas, Texas, USA. Been around for 34 years and have mostly worked in the IT field. I am currently studying electronic engineering and physics. I have quite a few hobbies like video gaming, programming, piano, friends, family, and pretty much anything fun. Aside from minor gardening, I also have a few fish tanks and a cat who loves to watch them.
I have been running SETI@home since before BOINC. While I may not have a computer running it all the time, if at all, there is no doubt that I will run it again someday and setup every system I have to help look for technology other than our own. I'll be adding new systems to the team as I save enough to buy them. I have recently become increasingly interested in SETI and have formed team ManyPockets which is open to anyone to join. I have written a small website which will slowly be developed as time goes on. I plan to setup an email server as well as an IRC server for SETI@home and other BOINC projects that members of team ManyPockets are participating in. If you join, I will add a section for your own stats so you can easily see them. When the email and IRC servers are setup, you can have a login too.

I run SETI@home to contribute to a grand effort to find proof of extraterrestrial signals and run a pretty cool screensaver.
I believe this project and many others like it are needed to increase the likelihood of understanding the unknown and maybe even talking to it. |
