Personal background
I am a former computer science major who's always loved the idea of the power of a massive network of computers solving problems. I also enjoy science fiction a lot, discovering aliens seems worthwhile to spend some CPU cycles on. I'm 28, live in California, USA, and I mess around with computers a lot.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think its a great idea, though the limited nature of the amount of data has always concerned me, very specific portions of the sky on very specific bands. However, I'm not a scientist I'm sure they have great reasons for these things.
