Personal background
The sky is not just a place for stars to hang at night, but a playground during the day. I enjoy skydiving, aerobatics, and will probably take up gliding when too old for either.
I have always been fascinated with the night sky, wanted to be an astronaut when I was just a kid, and wanted to go to the moon (still do). Instead, for the time being, I will have to be content with the hope of being the first to find something of significance in a SETI packet.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
How could we possibly be the only life in the Universe? I believe we are not. However, is everything else deemed as living either more advanced than us, or just still slime on a damp rock? I hope that something out there is thinking the same we do, and are transmitting something we can find. That's why I run SETI, and I am pleased to say I have been doing so since July 1999.
