My name is Brian Swaner. I live in Utah and I am a software developer for a loan servicing software company. I have been programming for about 5 years now and I love almost every minute of it. When I am not programming I like to read, hike, play games, water and snow ski and just relax with my lovely wife and two dogs.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think SETI@home is a very interesting project. This was the first BOINC project I started and it was because the search for intelligent life is something I definitely want to be a part of. I am very interested in helping people discover new and amazing things so I am all for all the BOINC projects. One thing I would like to see is feedback about things that are found from test results. That would seem to make it just a touch more rewarding for the users.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
