Personal background
I'm a student of physics and mathematics, focusing on computation. I'm also a classically-trained pianist, and retreat to the piano for inspiration often.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have always had an interest in what is out there. SETI is, as far as I'm concerned, one of the last iconic scientific endeavors - one which, if fruitful, will cause a paradigm shift.

I believe it is only a matter of time until we discover ET. Whether that happens in my lifetime or not, I won't speculate, but I figure that the least I can do to help the expert crew at Berkeley is to lend them my compute cycles.
