Personal background
I'm Bob. I'm 28. I discovered Seti@home through the Lockergnome newsletter sometime ago. I'm currently an assistant teacher in an art school. I spend the bulk of my time in the art school painting.

I read a lot of science fiction, so most of my work is influenced by it one way or another. I cook sometimes just to make sure that I haven't forgotten how (though I can't say the same for riding a bike).

I like quiet places, it's easier to think. I'd rather be with a handful of really close friends than in the middle of a large group of unidentifiable faces. I'm never comfortable in parties, always seeking out a nice quiet corner where I can either read a book or draw.

Or if nobody's looking, open a door and walk into an alternate reality.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have always beleived that there are other intelligent beings aside from humans. Finding planets orbiting other stars just proves that there has to be another civilization out there somewhere, finding them and making contact is just a matter of time.

I'm honored to be able to contribute in some way to the search for other beings through seti@home.
