Profile: Bob Jackson

Personal background
You want to know about me? I brew beer for a living, own two cats (if anyone can be said to "own cats"), and a "vintage" motorcycle. My motorcycle went from old to vintage several years ago when I decided vintage sounded better. It's also older than half the people I work with. Someday, I hope to buy a new one. I play softball in the summer, and I think I'm becoming a "vintage" player. I have four computers running SETI@home. I started Seti on 33 MHz 486 machine. Now I run it on a P166, K6 233, K7 600 and a K7 950.

Words of Wisdom. If beer ain't your beverage, don't be a brewer.

The real government warning that should be on bottles of beer.
Government Warning: Watch out for the Government.

Cheers,

Bob
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think extraterrestrial life exits. Probably even intelligent life. I just don't think we'll ever discover it because the galaxy and universe are too big and time is too long. Heck, I don't even think humans will be here in 1000 years. So why do I keep running SETI@home? I could be, and I hope, I'm wrong (on both accounts).
