Personal background
Hi all
My name is Anthony and I live in a town called Kiama which is on the south coast of New south wales Australia I,m 39 years old and have worked in the local government area for 15 years in the field of water management.

My hobbies Include martial arts (Ju Jitsu to be accurate)and pretty much anything to do with space travel and the cosmos in general which I suppose explains my interest in the SETI program.

So there you go a brief overview of me and what i,m about

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

Having participated in the SETI program since 2004 I would say my main motivation in being part of SETI@home is the knowledge that when we do make contact with an exo terrestrial civilization (I,m that certain of it)I will be able to say that I was part of the team that made it happen.

There would be many that would argue that we will never find anything but to look just at the numbers of stars and planets involved and the generic nature of our own solar system which we are now seeing mirrored in other solar systems the probability of extra terrestrial civilizations is pretty much a certainty I would have to say "THE ODDS ARE ON OUR SIDE PEOPLE" and that we should remain ever vigilant for that faint signal coming from the interstellar void that will change everything.

I would conclude by saying to you all that SETI and us are ones that are listening and looking and if we dont who will.

Anthony
