Some people say I am a computer wiz, and I suppose that's true from a layman's point of view, but I would have liked to get to hacker or analyst status. I am a good listener and a good teacher though. Again - what I've been told.

Otherwise I am a nice guy, I love kids although I don't have any, yet.
I love sci-fi and fantasy books. I prefer simulations on the computer to RTS games, although I have dabbled in Starcraft, Warcraft, C&C and Ground Control.
I do love first/third-person action games, and am currently trying to beat that damn Wendigo.
As far as personal fitness goes I am overweight and was grinding to a halt in front of my computer so I started doing martial arts with friends.
I Love it and I feel fantastic. If I feel down I go anyway and feel great afterwards. I am currently yellow sash in Yuen Kay San Wing Chun Kung Fu which is taught to us by Xin Hua (Colin) Huang recognised student of Lee Chi Yiu.

I have an Intel P4 3.2GHz BTX system with 1 GB RAM, and 2 SATA HDDs 150GB & 250GB. And it's all new, and shiny and BLACK, and I built it myself.
Oh and it's running through a Powermate 5110 UPS.
For Net protection I have my connection through a Netgear WGR614 wireless hub and Netgear DG632 ADSL MODEM/router so I have two hardware firewalls.
I prefer to use Norton's Antivirus and also have a Hosts file set up from www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run SETI@home?
Well my Dad was a christian, like me, and even he thought that with all the stars and planets that we have found throughout the universe, if God had made only us, it would be an awful waste of resources. Well I am not sure if those were his exact words, but you get my meaning. And funnily enough I first heard it from him and then they used the same line in the movie Contact right at the end. And that leads me to answer the second question, about my views on the project. Is it worthwhile? Is it a waste of government money? Well in both my country, Australia, and America as well, I am always hearing of worse wastes of government money, like 50,000 dollar grants to new science comittees to discover that we will lose weight if we excercise. Well maybe it wasn't that but it was something bloody ridiculous that was already common knowledge. I remember hearing it on the TV or radio and thought to myself, "Are you f____ing SERIOUS???" (This was before I recommitted to the Lord) . Hey maybe I should call myself the Special scientific research institute of Australia and get a 100,000 dollar grant to discover if water is truly wet.
Anyway I would like to say hello to any aliens that happen to drop by cause they wanna see just how freaking insane this planet really is.
