Personal background
My job I work on Arcade games, Pinballs and Jukeboxs. I am a Computer Tech, and Linux/UNIX Geek Altho I run SETI on a Windows and Mac computers for now.

For many years I ran SETI on a P233 with W95 then W98 for the most part the computer was just used for Lotus 123 Lotus Word Pro, and web-surfing and would stay on 24/7 to recive Faxs so SETI was set up to run in screen saver mode or all the time in the background. With the low demands of other things the computer was used for, and computer was on all the time and SETI did not realy interfere.

My intrest in SETI goes back to a TV show 3-2-1-Contact in the early 1980\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s I thought to my self then it was a cool thing that I would like to be a part of...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run SETI at home... Someone once said \\\\\\"Is that all thare is... Thare has to be more...\\\\\\" Maybe we will find something other than Life. I don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t think we are the only thing in the universe.

What are my views about the project

* It is intresting to look at the other people running SETI.

Suggestions...

  • I would like to see BOINC run on older hardware P233 32BM of ram with out giving you a overcommitted message.
  • Would like to see the more BOINC projects.
  • Would like to see projects that the end users pick. A forum the the users could come up with new projects.
