I am from Columbia, SC. I am about to retire from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control where I work as Systems Project Manager in Home Health. Hobbies: I am a rock hound and sublimation printer when I find the time. My wife and I like to travel so that is probably what we will do most after I retire. Grandchildren usually accompany us on our exploration trips.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have run Seti on my machine at work for over a year and plan to have two others at home up and running soon. I like being a small part of an international community supporting efforts to find intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. This project should continue forever on the small chance that two civilizations of our universe will discover the other's existence. That would be the greatest discovery of all time. The implications would enormous.
I hope the project continues to improve to the point that many millions of points in the universe can be scanned every day.
