Profile: IUB

Personal background
IUB Science Society (ISS) is one of the most popular student organization of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). ISS was founded in the spring of 2002 with a dream to enlighten the minds of the aspiring scientists of IUB. From the very beginning ISS is involved with the SETI Project and facinated by the exciting concept of distributed computing. ISS is using the the computers of the MONEM COMPUTER CENTRE, IUB to process the data packets. For this, ISS thanks Mr. Almas Kabir (Director, MCC). ISS feels highly proud for having the chance to take part in this venture.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
We are not sure whether ET exists or not. But, what we greatly believe is that science and only science can take human being into better world, providing him the enlightened vision to feel the wonders of creation and SETI is something that will help our race to discover the mystries of the creation.
