| Hello, my name is Amanda I am 28 years old and I am a Police/Fire Dispatcher for a local PD. I live in North Texas. I am married, have 3 kids and began a love affair with Astronomy, Cosmolgy and Theoretical Physics when I was 8 and my dad programmed our Texas Instruments T1000 (I believe) to print out a star chart. We would sit outside with binoculars looking at the constellations and we frequented Mt. Palomar Observatory when we lived in California. I continue this love affair today. My Mother's Day gift from my husband and kids was a $1,000.00 telescope. I also love TiVo, because if not for our DVR, I would miss Carl Sagan's Cosmos on the Science Channel as well as all the other absolutely fascinating shows. Right now I am all about String Theory. In my free time I like to study about it online, something I hated doing in school. I am also very interested in discussing our origin, how Religion plays into that, and my beliefs. I have a coworker who I love to talk about things like this, as she shares my thoughts. When it's not busy, we talk for hours about God, and if there is one, and many other things. I am honored to be apart of SETI@Home. |
